Ready, set, go! MAB and Contour race around the Tan

Competition was fierce on Friday 15 June as teams from leading Melbourne developer, MAB Corporation, and town planning firm, Contour Consultants, raced for the inaugural ‘MAB v Contour – Run Around the Tan’ company challenge.

Set in pole-position, MAB Managing Director, Andrew Buxton, kicked-off the race for the 23 competitors as the start-runner along The Tan’s 3.8km- long circuit. 

After a day of intense competition, MAB’s team made it across the line with team member Richard Johnston reaching first place at 14.41 minutes.

With all competitors reaching the finish line, the two battling teams celebrated over well deserved post-run drinks and decided this would be the first of a series of challenges between the two companies.

Contour will host the next second round of the ‘Run Around The Tan’ challenge at their home ground, Princes Park, later this year and hopes the rematch will lead their team to victory.

MAB and Contour have collaborated for many years on a range of projects including University Hill, Industry Business Hub in South Melbourne, Meridian Business Park in Thomastown and Merrifield in Mickleham.
