New look Executive Management Team
MAB has started 2012 with a new look Executive Management team, announcing two exciting appointments.
Luke Noonan has commenced as General Manager, Residential Land while Rod Appleby heads up the Project Management team.
Chief Operating Officer David Hall said the new appointments signalled a motivated and highly focussed year ahead for the organisation.
“We are thrilled to have attracted such high calibre specialists to the team,” said Mr Hall. “Both Luke and Rod have extensive experience in the industry and complement our existing skill set at MAB.
“We have exciting initiatives planned this year including commercial and industrial developments at Expressway in Port Melbourne, University Hill in Bundoora and NewQuay as well as the start of construction of our latest residential development, The Quays at NewQuay,” said Mr Hall.
In addition, the MAB team is currently in the planning phase for NewQuay Central and its largest and most visionary development to date, Merrifield (with joint venture partner GPC) – a 900 hectare master planned development at Mickleham.
“With such a full schedule ahead, it is reassuring to know that we have the right people in place to deliver,” said Mr Hall.
Luke Noonan joins MAB from Places Victoria (formerly VicUrban) where he held a Development Director role overseeing the Jacksons Hill, Aurora, Valley Lake and Craigieburn projects.
Mr Noonan has previously held development roles at FKP (Saltwater Coast, Point Cook), Cedar Woods (Williams Landing) and the Dennis Family Corporation (Manor Lakes, The Hunt Club).
“Luke’s focus at MAB will be to continue with the planning and infrastructure delivery at Merrifield, and importantly the commencement of the first stages of the residential precinct,” said Mr Hall. “This appointment is the commencement of building our capacity to grow our residential land business, which we are very excited about.”
Rod Appleby also brings a wealth of experience to MAB having worked more recently with Reed Constructions and prior to that held construction roles with APM Group, Hansen Yuncken, Abigroup and Baulderstone Hornibrook .
“During his career, Rod has worked on notable projects such as Waterfront City, the Chevron Hotel Redevelopment, Watergate Place Apartments, Austin Repatriation and Mercy Hospital Redevelopment as well as the Myer Direct Distribution centre,” said Mr Hall. “His immediate task at MAB will be the delivery of The Quays.”
