New cafe has opened its doors at Industry

Industry Business Hub has welcomed a new cafe with Gasolina opening its doors on 20 March.

MAB Corporation General Manager Commercial and Industrial Richard Johnston said the cafe was a much anticipated addition to the commercial precinct.

“More than 200 workers are now based at Industry,” said Mr Johnston. “We are thrilled to offer staff a contemporary eatery conveniently within the development.”

Gasolina owner Rob Maisano said that the cafe is now open for breakfast and lunch, six days a week, offering coffee, snacks and an a la carte menu.

“Gasolina is ideal for a coffee or lunch break, a great place to meet for informal meetings or a convenient spot to grab takeaway,” said Mr Maisano.

Mr Maisano has accrued two decades in the hospitality industry, running a large number of well known cafes across Melbourne including The Sandbar in Middle Park and Sabre Cafe in Port Melbourne.

“Our focus is great service and delicious, fresh food,” said Mr Maisano. “And being in the heart of South Melbourne, we know that delivering great coffee is a must.”

He added that the cafe has an automotive ‘fuel up’ theme, reflected in the design and furnishings.

“We are surrounded by car dealerships, auto industry workshops and design studios so we felt that the theme was fitting,” said Mr Maisano. “The furniture includes heavy timber communal tables and leather padded old oil drums for stools. It is a welcoming setting.”

Industry Business Hub is located at 87 Gladstone Street, South Melbourne. Just two studios are now for sale at the development. In addition, premium leasing opportunities are available.
