MAB looks to the future at Docklands and beyond
MAB Corporation has determined Melbourne Docklands as its development focus for 2010, with the breaking of ground about to commence at two of its most significant residential projects.
The Avenues and Harbour One (H1) are the latest residential developments to be launched by MAB as part of its successful NewQuay precinct. Initial ground works have now commenced, with construction expected to be underway by the first quarter of 2010. Harbour One (H1) Taking full advantage of its aspect and views to Victoria Harbour and the city skyline, H1 was designed by Plus Architecture. Responding to the changing demographic demands of Melbourne’s population, H1 offering a mix of studio, one and two bedroom apartments. Residents and their guests can utilise H1’s exclusive library lounge, with other building features including a magazine room and gymnasium. Over 70 percent of the 292 apartments are now sold. The next stage consisting of home offices will be released in December 2009 with prices starting from $600,000. The Avenues The prestigious development features 18 townhouses designed by Plus Architecture and BBP architects. Set across up to four luxurious levels, features include Gaggenau appliances, Roger Seller fixtures, thermostatic controlled wine cellars, a lift, plunge pool, landscaped gardens and marina berth. The townhouses located within The Avenues all enjoy premium position; nine are located on the waterfront and a further nine on the new green heart of Docklands, Quay Park. Providing an expansive 0.8 hectare public area for relaxation and respite within the urban context of the surrounding precincts, Quay Park will incorporate water sensitive urban design features such as rain garden filtration and a 150,000 litre rainstore located underground.
