New Chief Operating Officer appointed at MAB to drive growth and change
MAB Corporation’s Managing Director Andrew Buxton today announced the resignation of Guy Pahor, after almost three years, to pursue opportunities in the listed property sector.
MAB has appointed David Hall as the Chief Operating Officer, who previously held the position of General Manager – Major Projects.
David Hall said that Guy has left the business in an excellent position with a number of high-profile projects about to commence construction, including over 650 dwellings spread across multiple developments.
Andrew Buxton, Managing Director said, “David has played a significant role in shaping the direction of our business through leading our most innovative projects – we now look forward to him leading our organisation and this strategic appointment will drive change and growth within the business in 2010 and beyond.
“David has an unrivalled track record in Melbourne in the creation of innovative projects such as University Hill which has established a new benchmark in planning and development for Melbourne’s growth areas,” said Mr Buxton.
“More recently, David has been leading the planning on behalf of MAB and Gibson Property Corporation, for the 1500 hectare mixed-use project, Merrifield in Melbourne’s north, that is planning to deliver 27,000 jobs and a community of 30,000 people.
“David’s appointment consolidates MAB’s position for future growth in 2010 with our well credentialed team of Ian Smith, Chief Financial Officer and General Managers; Kevin Hunt, Richard Johnston and Nick Gray.
“We have a dynamic and creative team in place with a breadth of property knowledge that will take our business to a new level”, said Mr Buxton
David Hall followed-on to say, “MAB is well positioned for future growth by establishing a diversified property portfolio across the residential, retail, commercial and industrial sectors within both established and growth areas of Melbourne.
“The portfolio includes over 450 hectares of employment-based projects in Melbourne’s north and west and our three integrated mixed-use communities, being University Hill, NewQuay and Merrifield”
