Doncaster BMW comes to University Hill with a state-of-the-art showroom and workshop
Construction has commenced on Doncaster BMW’s new $12 million dealership, located at University Hill in Bundoora.
The state-of-the-art showroom, reflecting international BMW standards, will span two levels and boast an impressive 7000m² when completed.
The new development, ideally located in Melbourne’s growing northern region, will serve an increasing legion of BMW aficionados and boost Doncaster BMW Motors’ holdings to five dealerships, including Doncaster, Fairfield, Launceston and Hobart.
The dealership will have the capacity to display over 60 BMW’s, and is designed to appeal to customers with lounge areas, a café, finance and insurance facilities, BMW Premium Selection, service workshop, paint shop and undercover storage for 100 vehicles.
The new BMW dealership will also create employment opportunities in Melbourne’s north.
“Our decision to move to Bundoora was a strategic one,” Ingo Reisch, Managing Director of Doncaster BMW Group says.
“University Hill is attractive due to its central location, just off the Ring Road. Also, we are noticing a trend where lots of Doncaster BMW’s clients already reside in Melbourne’s north, so that automatically gives us a customer base ensuring convenience for servicing and other such vehicle related tasks. In addition, Bundoora is a rapidly growing area for residential properties and businesses alike,” he said.
University Hill is already home to a number of international organisations and small businesses. These companies already benefit from a being a part of a unique community incorporating a thriving cosmopolitan shopping, dining and business district, including medical centre and childcare centre. Univeristy Hill is already meeting much needed social and business requirement for the area.

With the endorsement of BMW Group Australia, the new development will increase the profile of the brand in Melbourne’s north.

The philosophy of BMW EfficientDynamics, which has garnered substantial attention of late with many BMW vehicles winning international awards, will be applied to the construction of the new dealership.
As described by Ingo Reisch, “BMW’s positioning on EfficientDynamics and clean living, whilst also reflecting the ecological and sustainable features of University Hill will each be embraced at our new dealership. Energy efficient lighting, sensor operated amenity lighting, drought tolerant landscaping and on site water retention systems will all be incorporated in the new development.”
