Places still available at Pelican Childcare at University Hill
University Hill’s community amenities are on schedule with the 120-place Pelican Childcare Centre opening its doors this week. Despite popular demand, there are still childcare places available.
Based at 14 Scholar Drive, the state-of-the-art architecturally designed facility will create 25 new full time jobs and will service a growing population of residents and workers within the City of Whittlesea. Operations Manager of Pelican Childcare Emma Lamendola said the centre offers exceptional services and facilities including regular visits from a doctor, a fully qualified chef to implement a nutritionally balanced menu and early childhood computer programs. Seven individual rooms will enable the centre to provide children with a high level of care, stimulation and educational opportunities for their age group. A bachelor trained teacher will deliver a fully funded kindergarten program while the full time staff will ensure a consistent level of supervision and care. “Our motto is ‘childcare with a conscience’. We aim to give the children every opportunity to be at their best by making every day an adventure,” Ms Lamendola said. “We’ve already had a number of enrolments and the good news is that we still have places available in all age groups,” she said. Pelican Childcare is locally owned and operated and has a proven reputation for high quality childcare, with three centres already operating in Victoria, one in Queensland and another two under construction in Melbourne. MAB Corporation’s Project Director for University Hill, Jason Wood says that constructing the childcare centre early in the development of University Hill is another example of MAB’s commitment to its vision of building a community where people can live, work and play. “We’re thrilled that the workers and residents of University Hill now have access to outstanding childcare facilities through Pelican, one of Victoria’s most respected childcare providers,” Mr Wood said. With strong residential and commercial office space sales and occupancies the childcare facilities are set to become yet another important community facility, alongside the Town Centre, Wellness Precinct and Brand Junction. |
