MAB completes first Docklands office tower for small business

Docklands’ first office tower dedicated to the needs of small business has been completed by MAB Corporation.

The 15 storey Aquavista Tower offers a high quality yet affordable entry into Docklands’ corporate community, with office suites available from 30 square metres.

The building includes a concierge desk to assist visitors and occupants and monitor building operations, while a business centre is planned to provide administrative support and meeting facilities.

Aquavista Tower is the first instalment in MAB Corporation’s business district, HQ NewQuay, and places small business within the rapidly emerging Docklands commercial hub.

“There are more than one million small businesses in Australia and about a quarter of these are in Victoria,” said Rory Kennedy, Aquavista Development Manager.

“With the number of prestigious large firms moving their headquarters to Docklands, Aquavista is a great opportunity for smaller operators to be part of the action.”

Aquavista is located within a vibrant lifestyle precinct, neighbouring waterfront restaurants, bars and cafes, a marina and sought-after residential towers.

Mr Kennedy said: “People are looking beyond the office walls for a better work-life balance. The retail, residential and waterfront aspect, along with easy access to car parking and public transport, make Aquavista more than just an office building.

“To this end we’ve mirrored many of the lifestyle features contained within our residential towers by integrating a gym and steam room, locker rooms, bike parking and storage into the Aquavista development.”

In contrast to the laid back Docklands lifestyle, services at Aquavista will ensure a fast paced work environment for technology-reliant small companies.

NewQuay is among the first precincts connected to Docklands iPort, a fibre optic based high-capacity communications network designed to promote the world’s most advanced connectivity. Data transfer capacities of 100Mbits/sec (scalable to 1Gbit/sec) are to be standard at Docklands.

Mr Kennedy said it is essential that MAB provides a high-tech platform for Aquavista businesses to integrate new technologies and promote operational efficiencies.

Aquavista Tower has over 200 strata titled offices, 13 ground floor retail tenancies, 400 undercover car spaces and more than 100 bicycle parks.

It is located at 401 Docklands Drive, New Quay Docklands.
